Thimbles & Thread
Thimbles & Thread is a new program at the Betsy Ross House designed for our younger visitors. Join us for this very special story time and learn about Betsy's trade through stories and activities with the famed flagmaker, herself.
Ages 3-7 at 11:30 a.m. and ages 8-11 at 1:30 p.m. on the following Saturdays:
- Saturday, March 8
- Saturday, March 29
The program is free but space is limited. Arrive early to reserve a spot.
While you're waiting for the story to begin, try the house's audio tour. The 25-minute tour offers a different twist on the history books. Tour-goers can elect to include optional "family stops" on their tour, which adds an additional 14 minutes and includes fun, historical information geared towards younger visitors. Kids will love the historical treasure hunt and be amazed at the stories of how colonial children lived. The tour is $5 and includes admission to the house. For more information, call (215) 686-1252.
